- Saw Billy Joel in concert at Madison Square Garden with my sister

- Made several visits to the Met



- Went skiing in the Poconos

- Celebrated Liz’s engagement and helped her with wedding planning

- Went on two retreats at Villa Maria Guadalupe
- Attended Women Speak for Themselves Media Training in Washington, DC, and met lots of amazing women
- Visited the National Basilica while in DC

- Watched Villanova win the Big East Tournament at Madison Square Garden

- Went to a friend’s bachelorette in Cape Cod

- Went to Easter Vigil Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer and had Easter brunch with my family

- Celebrated Bacon Friday (aka the first Friday after Easter, when we can eat meat again after Lent) with Liz’s masterpiece bacon piñata and a group sing-along of “Gift of Finest Meat”

- Saw my CCD students receive the Sacrament of Confirmation


- Went to my sister’s graduation from Penn

- Went to a friend’s wedding in May

- Visited Governor’s Island and Roosevelt Island for the first time


- Saw Hamilton in June! Also saw two other Broadway shows this year: Anastasia and Waitress

- Spent some lunch hours in Central Park when the weather was nice


- Continued babysitting for the Sisters of Life




- Went to my first Mets game, as well as a Yankee game


- Explored South Street Seaport with my sister and a high school friend

- Visited the Museum of Natural History with my family

- Designed Liz’s wedding invitations

- Saw the solar eclipse

- Became “Aunt Erin” when my friends’ baby was born in September

- Got a new roommate (who is also an old roommate!) when Mandy moved in
- Went out to Notre Dame for the Miami (OH) game and to meet baby John



- Spent an afternoon in Chicago on my way back from Indiana

- Was a bridesmaid in Liz’s wedding


- Started volunteering with Read Ahead NYC
- Met my sister’s new puppy, Aughie

- Started teaching a new CCD class
- Celebrated my 30th birthday



- Published an op-ed at MercatorNet
- Spent Christmas with family



- Read 45 books over the course of the year (not counting the ones I had to read for work)
- Rang in the new year (and celebrated Mandy’s birthday) with friends at home
