• Escaped the January cold with a trip to Orlando, visiting Disney World and Universal.

• Went to my first opera, Carmen, and saw The Ferryman on Broadway.
• Met Fr. Ubald Rugirangoga and heard his incredible story of bringing healing and forgiveness to Rwanda.
• Went skiing in Colorado for a week in March.

• Met Audrey Assad!

• Spent a weekend away with friends up in Cold Spring.

• Played music for the spring Frassati retreat.
• Welcomed my friends’ new baby, Ana Bernadette.

• Celebrated Easter at the vigil Mass with the CFR Friars, which began with an epic trash-can bonfire, and then Sunday Mass and brunch with my family.

• Enjoyed the spring weather and decorated Easter eggs Polish-style with my Polish friends.

• Watched my CCD class receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

• Volunteered with the Sisters of Life for their Mother’s Day celebration.
• Saw my cousin graduate from Fordham.
• Visited Liz, Bridget, and Aaron in Indiana and took a trip to the dunes.

• Spent a few days at Notre Dame and got to meet new baby Ana.

• Made good use of my Met membership.

• Enjoyed summer in Central Park.

• Went to a few Mets games.

• Celebrated the Fourth of July with friends.

• Went on a Frassati hike during the hottest weekend of the summer…and then ended up in the ER for heat exhaustion a few days later, followed by a few days of copious Gatorade and air conditioning.

• Celebrated my sister’s engagement in August!

• Went to a Backstreet Boys concert with the same girls who used to make me do choreographed dances to I Want It That Way as a child ;)

• Ran into a college friend on my morning subway commute—small world!
• Visited Indiana for Bridget’s first birthday.

• Celebrated Simone’s wedding.

• Went back to Notre Dame for a football weekend with my parents (and saw ND beat Bowling Green in a 52–0 rout).

• Started teaching a new CCD class.
• Welcomed my cousin’s new baby, Cole Brian.

• Went shopping with my sister for her wedding dress.
• Celebrated my birthday with dinner at Eataly.
• Saw the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in person, taking advantage of my office location and watching from a comfortable indoor perch with coffee and bagels.

• Got snowed in before heading back to the city from NJ after Thanksgiving.

• Celebrated Christmas with family.

• Watched Notre Dame cap off an 11-2 season with a bowl win.
• Welcomed my new godson, Felix Joseph, on December 28!

• Rang in the new year at midnight Mass with the Sisters of Life.
