A perk of growing up near New York City was that I got the chance to see several Broadway shows. I was also in the pit orchestra in high school for our school productions (I played flute and piccolo for West Side Story and Kiss Me, Kate), and while it involved many long hours of rehearsals, I really enjoyed it. I have a lot of musical soundtracks and have gone through different periods of being completely obsessed with many of them.
