It’s been a while since I’ve managed to write one of these posts—I’ve had a busy fall!
First of all, I’ve updated the URL for this blog—now it’s much easier to remember:

I recently set up a Goodreads account, and I’ve been logging the books I’ve been reading:

I also added a link in the sidebar with some of my recent reads.

In September, I took a trip to Europe with my family. We went to Ireland and Portugal, and it was a great trip! We got to see a Boston College football game in Dublin, visit the Cliffs of Moher, enjoy plenty of tea and scones, explore Lisbon, spend a day at Fatima, and eat lots of Portuguese custard tarts.

Notre Dame’s football season is now mercifully over. It was an ugly one! I did get the chance to watch two games in person, though, one of which we actually won.
And now, it’s basketball season. Phew.

I also took a trip to Boston with friends in October. We visited the aquarium and wandered around the North End.

Who else has watched the Gilmore Girls revival? Overall, I really enjoyed it. It was by no means perfect, but for the most part it still captured the essence of the characters ten years later. I thought Haley’s review was spot on. The Gilmore Guys podcast has also been doing extensive discussions of the new episodes.

I celebrated my birthday in November with a party, a yellow cake with chocolate frosting (the best kind), and a trip to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them on the day it came out. When I was growing up, the Harry Potter movies always came out on my birthday weekend (the very first one premiered on my actual birthday!), so it became a kind of birthday tradition to go see them. I was excited to find out that Fantastic Beasts would be coming out on my birthday weekend, too! The tradition continues. And the movie was good—worth seeing if you’re a Harry Potter fan!
